Ask yourself one question...
Would you put an inexperienced car mechanic in charge of your new, very expensive vehicle? One hopes the answer is NO. Then why place your entire company's future in the hands of a designer that can only provide template web design, has no understanding of how your company works and has no experience in the other, just as important aspects of marketing a service or product - professional print design, brand awareness, corporate identity, trade show set-up as well as many other elements.
A designer that has never produced a company brochure to a point of delivery does not have the qualifications to assist at the necessary levels for today's competitive market place. Just mention the phrase CMYK and if the face of the potential service provider is blank you know essential experience is lacking when it comes to brochure production.
Look at what previous clients have to say about the services provided and the outcome - will the company you are considering be happy for you to contact the clients directly? Look into what services are offered and what level of experience there is - has the company shown the ability to know how to get a project completed, be easy to work with, and work within budget? Do they have the know-how to figure out solutions to unique problems? Are they committed to getting to know your company before any work |
